You can't always win. That's why you stop competing. Saves a lot of embarrassment.

I have encountered this a few times before, most recently with my partner for 2v2 games, Footballmachine. this is unbelievably cheap, never done it, and yet I feel I know this strat through and through trying to kill their bases. Anyway, here goes...
Believe it or not, NO ARMY AT START! None at all! just build a ton of peasants, maybe even ten on wood to make sure you are well stocked on it, because it is an invaluable resource with this strat. Also, be sure to build an arcane tower or 2, a few scattered guard towers, and the basic buildings: lumber mill, farms, altar, arcane vault, but no blacksmith yet. Make sure your lumber mill is outside of ur base a bit, just becuase your peasants will quickly take out close trees in your base. Hero doesn't matter, but peasant killers are always nice, for this army is all mortars, bad for killing lone peons. Tech ASAP to the keep, and build the blacksmith and a bunch of towers. build these in the front of your base, possibly covered by farms, so that nothing can get in, except air. *NOTE* this strat isn't very good against air... Anyway, keep around two towers unupgraded, and the rest should be guard towers, with maybe a couple of arcane. Make sure you upgrade masonry, because you are going to need that HP if an attack happens.
If you haven't noticed, you have just towered like hell. This is a good idea with this strategy, because the morts you get will be able to slaughter all outside bases with ease anyway. When you finally reach the keep, build two workshops, and one arcane sanctum. Once they are done, upgrade your unupgraded towers to cannons, and pump out mortars and sorceresses, and keep them coming until a half dozen sorceresses have come out, and then get adept training for them. Upgrade mortar attack as you do this, and then once you have a BIG mortar army, use the sorcs to disguise you in invisibility. This means all of it; mortars, plus your hero. You have a HUGE time cushion, with invis lasting 120 seconds, so don't rush into a mistake. Just check every area before you enter it, maybe go over it with a flying machine to check for wards with true sight, and then march right into the base, unnoticed (note, if you are against humans, they can upgrade their towers to see you...), and stand in the far back, as far as you can go. All at once, fire away with your mortars, right for their center, and it is almost inevitable for it to die, and probably the opponent will not make a teleport either, making you free to kill everything around. When you feel that your stuff is in danger, just teleport away, and you will leave basically unharmed. This is a great problem for them, and they likely don't come back from such a big problem. Note again though, I have never used this strategy myself...
